Buy and sell strategy
For each trader you set a buy strategy and a sell strategy under Settings → Strategy. The line on the screen shows which trader the settings apply to. Mode, Trading or Sell Only, is a separate choice. That is on Strategy per trader, or sell only.
The engine places the orders entirely automatically in your own exchange account, based on the chosen strategy, without confirmation per trade. A pocket is sold only when the sell price is above the buy price. Open positions can be at a loss.
Buy strategy
You choose Automatic or Fixed. Each new buy uses the choice that is saved at that moment. After you choose, press Save.
Automatic
Automatic follows a buy rule calibrated on historic data. That rule is updated in software updates. Past performance is no guarantee.
Fixed
With Fixed you choose one of three settings yourself: Cautious, Moderate or Aggressive. The size of a new pocket depends on the price drop and on that setting. Cautious buys smaller pockets, so budget remains to keep buying for longer. Aggressive buys larger pockets, so the available budget is used up sooner. Moderate sits between them.
Sell strategy
You choose Automatic or Custom. The sell moment stays a MACD moment. A pocket is sold only when the sell price is above the buy price.
Automatic
By default the trader uses the automatic sell strategy. The thresholds are calibrated on historic data. Past performance is no guarantee. The minimum profit margin starts at 6% and falls in a straight line to 1% after 21 days. After that the requirement stays 1%.
Custom
With Custom you set Start %, End % and the period in days yourself. One example is Start 5, End 1 and a period of 10 days. Those are not the Automatic defaults. Reset restores the Automatic values. Then press Save. The full explanation is on Custom Sell Strategy.
