Recently we have done more than 60,000 simulations to calibrate the buy rule on recent and historical data. We have also investigated what happens if we switch between different Buy strategies with a threshold mechanism. In those simulations the “aggressive” Buy strategy most often came out as the calibrated rule, including over several years. Past performance is no guarantee.
We calibrate the trading engine on historic data. Past performance is no guarantee. We regularly check this with very extensive simulations. If another buy or sell rule calibrates better, we apply it automatically in new software updates.
That is why we now also have an Automatic Buy strategy. Choose this option if you want the calibrated buy rule to be updated.
For those who want more control, you can always opt for the “fixed” Buy strategy with the familiar options: Cautious, Moderate and Aggressive.
